Use the full kit ratio
Epoxy grout is supplied as matched parts — combine the complete parts in the ratio on the pack. Do not split a kit or eyeball proportions; the ratio is what makes it cure hard.
Add hardener to resin, then filler (3K)
Pour the hardener into the resin and blend, then (for 3K) add the filler gradually while mixing. Adding filler slowly avoids lumps.
Mix to a completely uniform colour
Mix slowly and scrape the sides and bottom until the colour is totally even with no streaks. Streaks are unmixed hardener — they become soft, tacky spots in the joint.
Mix a batch you can use in time
Epoxy sets by reaction, faster in heat, and cannot be revived with water. Mix only what you will apply within the pot life, then mix the next batch.
What to avoid
The parts are matched. Using the wrong proportion leaves the grout soft or brittle. Mix the full kit.
Streaks are unmixed hardener → soft, tacky spots. Mix to a uniform colour and scrape the sides.
Epoxy has a short pot life and sets in the bucket. Mix small, use it, mix again.
Water does not slow or thin reactive epoxy — it just ruins it. Never add water.
