Everyone should be able to find and use what they need here. This is what we’re doing, where we fall short, and how to tell us.
We want everyone to be able to use the SUMO website, regardless of ability or technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as a practical target, and treat accessibility as an ongoing part of how we build and maintain the site.
Built the site with semantic HTML and a clear heading structure, so it works with screen readers and assistive technology.
Ensured the site can be navigated by keyboard, with visible focus and meaningful link text.
Chosen colours and type sizes with legibility and contrast in mind, and used descriptive alternative text for meaningful images.
Made the layout responsive, so it reflows and remains usable on phones, tablets and at higher zoom levels, and we respect the “reduced motion” setting where animations are used.
Some older downloadable documents (PDFs) may not yet be fully tagged for screen readers, and a few third-party or embedded elements may not meet the same standard as the rest of the site. We are working to improve these over time. If you hit a barrier with a specific document, contact us and we’ll provide the information in an accessible format.
The site is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) and common assistive technologies. Using an up-to-date browser gives the best experience. If something doesn’t work with your setup, please let us know.
Accessibility is never “finished”. If you find something hard to use, or need content in a different format, email us at hello@sumochems.com or reach us via the contact page. Please describe the page and the problem so we can help quickly — we aim to respond within a few working days.
This statement reflects the current state of the site and is reviewed as the site evolves. The target standard is WCAG 2.1 AA. The last review date is shown above.
